Probably every law firm believes that it is unique – we know we are.

The unique perspectives we bring to our clients’ legal requirements results from many factors.  For example, we are the largest firm in a county on the edge of the Indianapolis metropolitan area, and as a result of that we are used to dealing with the day-to-day problems of individuals as well as small businesses and community organizations.  However, we also have had an office in the center of the Indianapolis metropolitan area for many years from which we provide services primarily to public utilities and other large businesses and organizations.

A substantial number of attorneys in the firm devote most of their efforts to serious personal injury and complex litigation matters, while other members of the firm are involved primarily in utility and other business and regulatory matters.  The firm also practices in certain “niche” areas, such as education, health care and government relations, but all of the firm’s practice areas complement one another.  The perspective our business and transactional lawyers bring to our litigation section complements our litigation section, and the sensitivity to individual client’s needs, trial tactics, and judicial processes and practices have enhanced the ability of the attorneys representing business clients to best advise them concerning disputes.

We are still a mid-sized firm after almost 100 years by design.  For a relatively small firm we have a wide range of practice areas, all of which we believe complement one another and help us in providing the services required by our clients.  And while we believe our size now best fits our practice and our clients, we will grow as necessary to meet client needs just as we always have.

Parr Richey Obremskey & Morton knows that settlement of disputes is a preferred objective, whether by mediation, arbitration or direct negotiation.  In fact several of the firm’s partners and associates are trained and experienced mediators themselves.  However, what also sets Parr Richey Obremskey & Morton apart from other firms is our century of trial experience.  We know when matters should be tried and when they should be settled; we are well-prepared to go to trial when needed and are not afraid to do so.

Among the many other things we are proud of is that much of our business comes from referrals from other attorneys, and that as “lawyers’ lawyers” we are often called upon to partner with or represent other law firms.  Virtually all of our partners have been recognized by professional, community or other organizations, and we like to think of that not just as an honor, but as being beneficial to our clients, our communities and our profession.
