Mike Schultz concentrates his practice on civil litigation. He routinely handles a wide variety of employment related disputes, representing both business and employees, and is a frequent lecturer on compliance with federal employment laws. He also frequently represents homeowners and business owners in residential and commercial property damage cases where property owners seek recovery from insurers and third parties. He also has litigated extensively in the areas of civil rights, personal injury, toxic torts, unincorporated associations, contract disputes, and workers compensation. Mr. Schultz also has significant experience representing clients in both state and federal appeals and has presented oral arguments before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Indiana Court of Appeals.
Mr. Schultz is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, all federal district courts in Indiana, the Indiana Supreme Court, and all of Indiana's state courts. He has significant trial experience, having tried many civil jury trials and bench trials to verdict in employment, civil rights, property damage, and business matters.

Appointments/Memberships
Mr. Schultz is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Indiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Boone County Bar Association, the Electric Cooperative Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Schultz serves on the Advisory Board of the Boone County United Way, including as Chairman from 2009 – 2011. During that same time he has been Boone County’s representative on the Board of the United Way of Central Indiana.
Lectures/Presentations
Mr. Schultz is a frequent presenter on employment related topics. Most recently, he presented the Workplace Law seminars sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, and presented on the impacts of recent amendments to the FMLA and ADA and other statutes at seminars in Texas, Arizona, Florida, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Indiana.
