Jeremy L. Fetty
AssociateJeremy Fetty joined the firm in 2006. Mr. Fetty’s practice focuses on labor and employment law, corporate law, cooperative law, municipal law, creditor's rights law, real estate law, appellate law, and utility law, which includes advising utilities in day-to-day operations, such as business transactions, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ("FERC") matters, Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission matters, Independent System Operator ("ISO") and Regional Transmission Operator ("RTO") matters, and human resource matters.
Mr. Fetty has represented clients in FERC proceedings related to market based tariffs, transmission, compliance, acquisitions, rates and terms for wholesale electric service, and ISO and RTO participation, particularly the Midwest ISO. He has also counseled business and municipal clients on a wide range of employment matters and reviewed client employment practices and benefits plans for legal compliance.
Mr. Fetty regularly advises businesses (for profit, non-profit and cooperative) on organizational and transactional matters and drafts and reviews commercial contracts. He counsels businesses and municipalities on compliance issues related to safety, privacy, and identify theft. He further represents clients on various collection matters and creditor's rights.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fetty worked in Detroit, Michigan, where he spent three years with the Michigan Court of Appeals, first as a research attorney then as a clerk. Also while in Michigan, he assisted a Special Master in determining individual damages in a 42 U.S.C. § 1983 class action claim against the City of Detroit and assisted a well known arbitrator in the drafting of labor and employment arbitration opinions. Mr. Fetty is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Southern District of Indiana, the Northern District of Indiana, and the Eastern District of Michigan.

Mr. Fetty is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association (Utility Law and Employment and Labor Sections), the State Bar of Michigan, the Energy Bar Association, the Electric Cooperative Bar Association, and the Indiana Municipal Lawyers Association.
Mr. Fetty is currently serving as board counsel to the Boone County Habitat for Humanity. He is also the attorney for the Town of Frankton.

Honors and Awards
Originally from Frankton, Indiana, Mr. Fetty was a four-year varsity wrestler at Manchester College and an Academic All-American. He served as managing editor of articles for the Michigan State University Law Review. Mr. Fetty is also an eagle scout.
