Biography
Katie Sheets is a partner at Parr Richey, having joined the firm in 2017 as a law student. She maintains a broad legal practice serving individuals, businesses, and fiduciaries in both transactional and litigation matters. This range of work gives Katie a comprehensive perspective on the legal and practical challenges her clients face.
Katie’s civil litigation practice is robust and includes representing plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of personal and business disputes, including contract claims, real estate matters, collections, and other types of business disputes. On the transactional side, she assists clients with contract drafting and review, business formation, and general business matters.
Additionally, Katie assists clients with estate planning, estate and trust administration, and guardianship matters. When litigation disputes arise in these areas, she draws on her litigation expertise and knowledge of Indiana’s probate, trust, and guardianship laws to represent fiduciaries and beneficiaries effectively.
Before joining Parr Richey, Katie worked in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster handling automobile claims involving property damage and personal injuries. Her combined experience in insurance and private practice has shaped her ability to evaluate matters from multiple angles and tailor her approach to each client’s unique needs. Moving between transactional work and courtroom advocacy gives Katie a holistic view of how legal issues develop and how to prevent them or resolve them efficiently.
